Le Château Cultural Center

Le Château (The Castle) is a place animated by the association Diagn’art. Located on the
Langue de Barbarie, in the heart of the fishing district N’Dar Toute. Le Centre Culturel Le Château is the former Governor’s Palace of Mauritania, where many activities are now developing throughout the year :

Artistic residencies
of local, national or international dance companies or multidisciplinary artists, resulting in artistic formations and performances

Spectacles dissemination
multidisciplinary programming (theatre, dance, cinema, music, circus…)

A breeding ground for cultural players
a dance school, a school of sound and image, video producers, une école de danse, une école des métiers du son, des producteurs de vidéo, graphic designers and webmasters share our space and a common charter

project heads can benefit from a connected and welcoming space, according to their needs

Headquarters of the Duo Solo Dance Festival, the Cultural Center Le Château is now a dynamic cultural center anchored in the city, a space for research, training and multidisciplinary residence for Saint-Louis, Senegalese and international artists, as well as a place broadcasting with programming open to intercultural and interartistic debate.
